What Will Bring People Into Your Vape Shop

Operating a Vape Shop can be a lot of work when you have online vape stores to compete with. You have to almost go above and beyond to bring something extra to the experience. You’re basically having to reward people for leaving their homes, giving them something they can’t get from online, by hosting an array of events and in-store deals.

We see so many creative and fun events that vape shops hold in their stores to bring people in for a fun time, like pizza nights or happy hour. Especially with the Halloween season, we’ve seen awesome costume contests popping up in vape shops across the nation.

But there are fun things you can implement all year long that drive in business. We’re here to tell you a few ideas you can put into action in your store with minimal effort, for maximum customer satisfaction.



#1 The Test Drive

This is a fun idea for vape lounges or even smaller vape shops with a couch or bar inside. The test drive is simple. Customers pick out a bottle of vape juice they’re interested in trying, and fill their tanks or soak their cotton with it. And for as little as two or three dollars, they get to kick back at the bar and chat, or lounge on the couch (bonus points if you’ve got a TV and TRIPLE points if there’s some video games to play or DVD’s to pop in) and they get to vape on it and hang out for as long as they want. If they like it, they buy it and the price of the test drive is reduced from the price of the whole bottle. This gives your customer a chance to try new juices risk free, and makes your shop look nice and lived in, welcoming, and popular from the outside.

#2 Mystery Bags

This is the opposite of the test drive. You create a shelf of vape juices that are hidden in bags. They can be entirely nondescript or have subtle descriptions on them like “sour” “food” “beverage” or “cool looking bottle” whatever you want. Be as creative as you wish, the funnier or more mysteriously vague the better. People do enjoy some risk. And if they're having trouble making up their minds, let fate decide. You could even offer the mystery bags for the test drive. Just be sure you’re the one filling their tank so while they’re on their test drive, they can try to guess what flavor is is before they decide to purchase or not, for a little added fun.

#3 Recycling Program

This is an important one with the recent reports on the planet’s current climate crisis. To do your part to help even just a little, a recycling program is the way to go. If customers bring in 3 empty bottles of E-Liquid, they can get 5% off, bring in 5 they get 10% off. It’s all up to you to determine, but the better the deals the more E-Liquid bottles will be properly recycled and disposed of (by you of course, make sure you have the proper resources to dispose of them beforehand).

#4 Wheel Wednesdays/Coin Flip Fridays

This is one that a lot of fun vape shops/lounges use. It takes being a little crafty and building a wheel to spin and see what deals customers land on when they give it a spin.

Coin Flip Friday is a fun one too. Customers get a chance to choose from a penny, an nickel, or a quarter. They call heads or tails and if they get it right… For the penny, they win a buy one get one. Nickel, heads 5% off or tails $5 dollars off a purchase of 25 or more, and a Quarter if they call heads or tails and get it right, 25% off a purchase of $25 or more.

#5 Happy Hour

Happy hour can be as simple as selling one specific juice/brand/or hardware for a low price for only a certain amount of time (For example 4-7PM). Or more creative, a blend of all the above deals we've mentioned… Three dollars off mystery bags, half off test drives, double the percentage off of the recycling program, or they can get two attempts at the wheel spin or coin flip.

Remember the best way to get these deals and events out there to make your shop really pop off and feel like a second home to customers, is through posting about them on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram to remind everyone. Or starting a text/email list. Or go old school and make a big cool calendar in your shop for all to see.
